Increase Patrols by Community Police in York Region to Ensure Resident Safety

In the past year, 2,353 break-and-enters and 4,694 lost motor vehicles have been recorded in the York Region (see https://community-safety-portal-datayrp.hub.arcgis.com/).

We ask the York Region Police to increase police patrols, firstly in high risk area and subsequently expand to all area in Markham. The high risk targeted area is area south of Major Mackenzie, north of Highway 407, east of Highway 404, and west of Kennedy. The residents believe this action will protect everyone and provide families with safety and peace of mind.

We call for additional patrols and support if necessary an increase in police budget.
